My Experiences, My Influences
I am not a writer by trade nor do I have any specific credentials that allow me to be an expert on the subject. I just have a passion for writing and want to tell my stories, sharing the characters and worlds I have created. As a budding science fiction author, I aspire to craft engaging narratives that resonate with readers.
I have a day job that pays the bills and helps contribute towards the family. I was born in Tamworth, Staffordshire in the UK, and over the years, I have moved to Warwickshire, then onto Derbyshire, and now I reside in Northamptonshire, collecting along the way little snippets of their accents as I continue my life journey!
My influences include good dramas ranging from Doctor Who (classic and modern) to Star Trek, including the amazing Brave New Worlds, and Supernatural, which is one of my huge favorites. I also enjoy anime such as Blue Eyed Samurai, Love, Death & Robots, and the excellent Castlevania series, to name a few.
Films are another love of mine, spanning adventure like Indiana Jones, action alongside John Wick, and sci-fi from Alien to Star Wars. I can't forget the classics such as Bladerunner, both versions of The Day the Earth Stood Still, and the amazing all-time classic, Forbidden Planet!
As for authors, it's a mix that includes George Mann and the excellent Newbury & Hobbs adventures, Edgar Cantero for his brilliant fresh stories, and Steve Jackson, who created the wonderful Fighting Fantasy Sorcery universe. I also admire Ray Bradbury for his short stories, Robert Heinlein (my first adult novel), and the amazing horror of the very missed James Herbert. Additionally, I enjoy reading graphic novels, such as Warren Ellis for the extremely entertaining Global Frequency series. As I continue my journey as a writer, I hope to contribute my own fantasy novels that can inspire others.

POETRY
Early in my career as a writer, I began with poetry, a true labor of love that spanned many years. It served as a gap filler between my on-and-off story writing and allowed me to express my thoughts and feelings—putting them down on paper to clear my mind. As a science fiction author and someone who has ventured into fantasy novels, I never imagined I would release a collection to the world. I am even more astonished that I have continued to add to that collection over the past few years. Currently, I am working on a fourth collection; perhaps this will be my final one. All of my works, including poetry, are available in Kindle and paperback formats.
STORIES
I have many titles stored away, taken from the ever-expanding notes on my phone and various bits of paper that continue to be found scattered around the home. As a science fiction author, I have an ever-growing list of stories I want to write and share with the world, rich in characters and diverse in genres. Expect more fantasy novels, particularly dark fantasy, along with explorations into thrillers and action-adventure narratives. It’s just about finding the time to write them all down!
